Children’s Hunger Relief Fund has always asked the question “What can we provide for helpless children around the world besides just shelter and food”. And now that question has lead CHRF to exciting new possibilities and opportunities to change the lives of orphans forever. A new seminar, named “UCAN”, has recently been created specifically focusing on rehabilitating sexually abused children and bringing new vision and hope to shattered orphans. The “pilot” seminar took place in Juarez, Mexico where Emmanuel Ministries experienced something miraculous.

Children’s Hunger Relief Fund Sends Special Missions Team to Haiti
EVEN BEFORE THE DEVESTATING EATHQUAKE STRUCK HAITI ON JANURARY 12th 2010 the conditions in Haiti were atrocious. THANKFULLY, Children’s Hunger Relief Fund already had pre-existing projects on the ground in Haiti to attend to the great needs of the sick and starving children and families. CHRF sent out a team just days before the quake struck in order to survey and inspect our current projects on the ground.

Zzana Community Children’s Center in Uganda is home to almost 400 children.
All of them come from extremely poor backgrounds where regular meals, medicine, schooling, even a clean shirt or a warm blanket are luxuries. At Zzana the kids get all that and a lot more – they get to be children who laugh, play and dream of the future, grow up in a caring community with friends and adult mentors, and receive a solid education as well as vocational training on which to build their future. >>More |

“The situation in many parts of Ethiopia is critical… children are dying from starvation, we need to do something to help…” Our international relief director doesn’t mince words when it comes to his work. Of all the places he goes, Ethiopia is one of the worst - after seasonal rains have failed repeatedly, the situation for millions of Ethiopians, especially the young, is dire.>>More |

Burundi is a small country nestled in the heart of Africa, sitting along Lake Tanganyika near its neighbors, Congo and Rwanda. The later are the indigenous people who have inhabited the forests and roamed the land of Burundi for generations as hunter-gathers.>>More

“I am shocked. I did not think the situation would be this bad,” said CHRF’s team leader about a recent emergency relief trip into Sudan. “I … came across a badly burnt woman whose four children were brutally killed during an attack. I … feel sick in my stomach, I was not prepared for this.”>>More

The explosions, attacks by the Taliban, suicide bombers and thousands of displaced refugees have made the already bad conditions in Afghanistan even worse, and the situation continues to deteriorate. CHRF's local workers and contacts have been receiving frequent death threats from the Taliban because of their courageous humanitarian efforts. Despite the terrorist's efforts, CHRF was able to provide 865 refugee families isolated in the mountains with food and crucial supplies. As threats and danger continues to rise, CHRF is proud to provide the frightened children with comfort, and their families with life-saving supplies. ONLY THROUGH YOUR SUPPORT can our efforts be effective in saving lives. Thank you for your generosity and compassion to the children of Afghanistan.

Its almost impossible to deliver aid into Somalia, one of the more remote and dangerous regions of the world. Most non-governmental organizations (NGO's) have left due to the insecurity. The United Nations have had 8 of its staffers and 24 aid workers killed this year. Convoys of food aid are attacked and hi jacked while aid workers face kidnapping or death . . .
Inspite of difficulties and endless challenges (our workers being detained for hours, harrased, endless roadblocks, guns pointed & threatened) our team managed to succesfully deliver and distribute 70 000 meals of food aid to 500 internally displaced families seeking refuge in Northern Somalia.>>More
