Among the dozens of countries that our CHRF team and generous donors help every single year is the Central American country of Honduras. There, according to other non-governmental agencies, 60% of the citizens live below the poverty line and statistics report that ONE in every FOUR children struggle with chronic malnutrition.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

One in every four children in Honduras struggle with chronic-malnutrition. Thanks to our CHRF Donors we are helping to change this disturbing epidemic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Children\u2019s Hunger Relief Fund has been involved helping Honduras for many years, sending millions of dollars of valuable medical supplies to the country. In 2010 CHRF President and Vice President visited Honduras and spoke with the Minister of Health as well as the Congress. While in Honduras the CHRF executives also visited an incredible orphanage that we have been partnering with ever since to help children locally.<\/p>\n

Many of the children at our CHRF supported orphanage were neglected by their families. Hungry and ill, they came to the orphanage scared and feeling alone. Thanks to our partners in Honduras these beautiful children now have a safe place where they receive an outstanding education at a local academy. These twenty children have been rescued from a dangerous, and many times life-threatening situation, and have been brought to a place where they are treated as one big happy family. This incredible miracle would not have been possible without their dedicated \u201cMother\u201d and \u201cFather\u201d who live full time at the orphanage and have committed their lives to restoring hope to these children\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

Recently the children enjoyed celebrating an early Valentine\u2019s Day! The girls especially enjoyed the celebration and all of the children wrote down what they were thankful for and loved in their lives. Almost all of them expressed being grateful for their safe home and new family at the orphanage.<\/p>\n
