This simple act of generosity not only provides a meal for a hungry child, but it also relieves the burden for many of the local parents who sometimes can struggle to provide for their children. It also helps enable us to reach out to the families and parents to encourage them to send their children to school. Because we are feeding their children, they are much more receptive to accept our help.”

Just a few of the beautiful faces that we are helping to feed in Nicaragua!

Mario continued, “But that’s not all, with the past help of CHRF and our partners we have been running a small school with hundreds of students in an extremely rural area of Nicaragua. Without our school many of these children would have no way to find another avenue for education. It warms our hearts to see the smiles and faces of these children as they sit and learn in the classroom or as they play soccer at lunch. It may not seem like a miracle for our donors and partners from the states, but in many places education is a priceless gift. We are so fortunate to be able to provide that gift to our children in Nicaragua.”

<img loading="lazy" class="size-medium wp-image-1360" src="https://chrfund.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/img_6640.jpg?w=300" alt="One of our CHRF Volunteers spending time with the beautiful children.
