For over a decade Children\u2019s Hunger Relief Fund and our team of donors have worked with our friends and partners throughout Africa to build life-saving medical centers and clinics as well as schools and orphanages for children. Together, with our partners in Kenya, we have seen amazing results as orphans are rescued off of the streets at a young age and given a new chance for an education and hope for a promising life!<\/p>\n

Now however CHRF has received reports that one of the orphanages was attacked last week by a group of thieves. The thugs were able to steal what little electronics the orphanage had and injured a few of the boys in the process. Thankfully none of the young children were seriously injured.<\/p>\n

As our field Director in Kenya reported, \u201cSeveral of the boys received wounds to their heads, shoulders and necks but none of them were seriously hurt. We are grateful for the children\u2019s safety and good health. We are hoping to take future security precautions. As always the children and everyone are sincerely grateful for CHRF\u2019s international help, involvement and care for the children\u201d.<\/p>\n

Thankfully the children and our project have escaped without blemish and are now ready to continue their work or saving lives and rehabilitating the children.<\/p>\n

In another report from Kenya\u2019s neighboring country of Uganda CHRF is proud to report that the wonderful children of one of the orphanages there have seen great success with their \u201cHanging Garden\u201d project!\u00a0 The children have been working hard all season and are now beginning to see the fruits of their efforts.<\/p>\n

After similar vandalism in Uganda the orphanage was able to build a security fence around the project to keep the children and livestock safe and out of the hands of danger or thieves.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the children, and from all of our CHRF staff and team, Thank You for your help as together we continue to strive to provide care, love and protection for those who need it around the world most and as we further accomplish our mission of bringing Hope the hopeless!<\/p>\n
