Meals for Children in Belize!

Tucked away in Central America surrounded by Mexico and Guatemala lies the small country of Belize. Schools and education, let alone a Christian education, are rare in Belize, and more and more sparse the further from the urban cities that you travel. But, in the small villages around the rural town of Jacintoville, dedicated individuals and missionaries have created a program for children to receive an outstanding education! Together they have done an incredible job of creating a safe, educational and protected environment for children to come and learn and in turn be much better prepared for almost any career.

Children’s Hunger Relief Fund was honored to provide the lunch program for this coming school year 2012-2013 for almost 100 children! Now the children will be provided a nourishing meal at lunch Monday through Friday and not have to interrupt their studies with trying to find food. For some of the children this could be the only meal that they have for the day. Many of these children are looked after by their grandparents or adopted family after losing their birth parents.

The Academy in Belize is an amazing program dedicated to “establishing a Biblically-based standard of excellence and achievement that will prepare the students for the responsibilities of leadership in their families, their villages and the nation of Belize”.
