Nepal: More Earthquakes Strike As Our Team is on the Ground.
In a horrifying turn of turn of events yet another large earthquake measuring 7.3 has struck Nepal. This time the natural disaster took yet another 50 lives and left over a thousand more injured. Fortunately our CHRF Emergency Relief team was in a position to respond immediately as they were already helping provide aid and food to innocent children and victims from the first earthquake just a little over two weeks ago. Their reports from the field tell the story of thousands of children and families who have seen their homes, villages and even friends or relatives destroyed by these treacherous disasters. No child or family is safe from these quakes and the look of desperation and fear is clear on all of the children’s faces. Our CHRF Veteran team members report, “These children are traumatized. We were on the ground when the second 7.3 earthquake struck and the many following aftershocks, the children are literally running and screaming down their streets, scared for their lives. It’s a shock to us to even find the soldiers crying.” They go on, “As we find different avenues to access cut off and isolated villages the local people are overjoyed to see us coming with food and aid. Their situation is a true nightmare right out of a horror film. Completely cut off from the outside, their world turned upside down and shaken until everything, even the surrounding mountains, are falling! It’s incredible work to be able to have the opportunity to help these people in their hour of dire need. We can’t thank CHRF and the donors enough for helping make this Emergency Relief Trip possible”. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to children and families all around the world who are needlessly in pain and suffering. Please continue to pray and send donations for these thousands of children and families in Nepal who have suffered so much.
